Then and now

What changes when insurance leaves the exam room.

Most people have only ever known primary care with a copay at the desk, a clock in the room and a bill in the mail. Membership removes all three. Here is the same visit, side by side.

Included in your membership

Everything on this list is covered by the monthly price.

Routine primary-care visits, as many as your care requires

Come in when you need to. There is no per-visit charge to weigh first.

Annual physicals and preventive care

The yearly check-in that catches things early, at no extra cost.

Well-child checks, school and sports physicals

Growth checks and the forms your kids' school and teams ask for.

Acute illness and minor injury visits

Sore throats, sprains, infections and the things that should not wait a week.

Chronic-condition management and follow-up

Ongoing conditions followed by a team that knows your history.

Women's and men's health visits

Screenings, concerns and questions, handled in primary care first.

Mental and emotional health support within primary care

Stress, mood and sleep are part of your health. They are part of the visit too.

Care coordination and referrals to specialists

When you need a specialist, we make the referral and stay in the loop.

Direct communication with the practice between visits

A question does not have to become an appointment.

Same- or next-day appointments when clinically appropriate

When you are sick, waiting a week is not care.

Minor office procedures

Skin lesion removal, biopsies and cryotherapy, done here and covered by membership.

The Mountain Peaks member app

Schedule visits, message your care provider, and view your records, prescriptions and lab results from your phone, with video visits when a trip in is not needed.

At transparent member pricing

Some care carries a real cost. You see it first.

Some care carries a real cost we cannot absorb into the membership. Members see the price before they agree to it, not on a statement afterward.

  • In-office and send-out laboratory testing
  • Vaccines and immunizations
  • Certain medications dispensed or arranged through the practice
  • IUD removal ($75) and vasectomy ($800)
  • Supplies, braces and other consumables

Member rates for labs, vaccines and dispensed medications are quoted before you agree to them. Ask at the office for the current list, or see Pricing for procedures with a set price.

Not covered by membership

Membership pays for primary care at Mountain Peaks. It is not health insurance and does not cover care delivered anywhere else.

Hospital and emergency care

Emergency rooms, ambulance transport, hospital admissions and surgery.

Specialists and outside services

Specialist consultations, imaging centers, outside procedures and therapies.

Prescription coverage

Medications filled at an outside pharmacy are billed by that pharmacy or your plan.

Mountain Peaks membership is not health insurance. Patients should maintain appropriate coverage for hospitalization, emergency care, specialists and services outside the practice.

How your existing services carry over

Nothing in the scope of our medicine is going away. Pediatric wellness, adult wellness, acute care, chronic care, women's health, sports medicine and minor procedures are all still here, delivered by the same team. What changes is how they are paid for and how much time we can give them.
